Job summary

Southeast Bank in Chattanooga invites an experienced lender to join our branch team. You will evaluate and authorize loans, advise borrowers on financial options, and ensure compliance with banking standards.

This full-time role requires meeting applicants, analyzing credit and collateral, preparing documentation, negotiating terms, and coordinating with other departments to keep accounts in good standing. A 1–3 year lending background and a finance-related degree are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Finance, Business, or Economics preferred.
• 1–3 years of lending experience preferred.
• 1 year of customer service experience preferred.
• Combination of education and experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Meet with applicants to obtain information for loan applications and explain the process.
• Analyze applicants' financial status, credit history, and collateral to determine loan feasibility.
• Prepare and review loan documents for accuracy and compliance with standards.
• Approve loans within limits or refer outside limits to management for approval.
• Negotiate payment arrangements and develop payment schedules.
• Coordinate with other bank departments to keep accounts in good standing.
