Job summary

ACCUFILE, INC. is seeking a Senior Research Librarian to provide research support and reference services to attorneys and staff. The role emphasizes exceptional client service, cost management, and collaboration in knowledge management initiatives.

Responsibilities include delivering research and document retrieval, guiding research methods and source selection, and proactively tracking legal and regulatory developments to share actionable insights with stakeholders.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years legal reference and research experience in a mid to large law firm or comparable environment.
• MLS/MLIS degree required.
• Strong research skills with ability to think critically about tools and methodologies, conduct cost-effective and efficient searches, and clearly communicate findings.
• Proficient in legal, business, scientific and general research resources, including Westlaw, Practical Law, Lexis, Bloomberg Law and VitalLaw.
• Knowledge of other tools such as Checkpoint, Docket Navigator, PitchBooks, and similar resources; skilled in setting up current awareness and litigation alerts.
• Able to work quickly and accurately under pressure with excellent organizational skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate clearly with attorneys and staff.
• Maintains expert knowledge of library systems, collections, online databases, interlibrary loan and document delivery.

Responsibilities

• Deliver legal and non-legal research, reference, and document retrieval services.
• Provide strategic guidance on research approaches, source selection, and methodology to ensure efficiency and accuracy.
• Proactively monitor news, dockets, legislative and regulatory developments, and subject-specific updates, sharing insights with relevant stakeholders.
