Job summary

Winstead PC in Dallas seeks a Research Librarian to support attorneys and clients by conducting reference and research projects, managing requests, and coordinating library services. MLS preferred; ability to work independently and in a collaborative team, develop library guides, and assist with AI resources to enhance research

Qualifications

• Strong research and database skills with experience using Lexis+ and Westlaw.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office relating to library requirements.
• Ability to read and interpret research outputs, trade publications, and legal documents.
• Excellent problem-solving, organizational and administrative skills.
• Clear, concise verbal and written communication.
• Ability to prioritize, multitask, and work under time constraints.
• Ability to work independently and within a collaborative team.
• Experience with technology and social media for library projects.

Responsibilities

• Process research requests and conduct thorough research using library resources.
• Perform in-depth research in diverse legal topics and public records.
• Prepare company and industry profiles for business development.
• Evaluate and select electronic resources and applications.
• Assist users with access to legal databases and print resources.
• Support usage of databases by managing passwords, training, and troubleshooting.
• Develop guides, bibliographies, and instructional materials.
• Collaborate with attorneys, paralegals, marketing, vendors, and librarians.
• Develop expertise in AI resources to enhance research capabilities.
• Assist with special projects as assigned.
