Ledgent, Inc. in Washington, DC is seeking a seasoned legal billing professional to manage the full billing lifecycle for assigned attorneys and clients, from pre-bill through final invoice submission and payment follow-up, coordinating with attorneys and clients to ensure timely payments.

The role requires strong Aderant Expert experience, familiarity with Pre-bill Manager and Expert Image, and the ability to handle complex billing arrangements, invoicing, and reporting needs.

Formación

• Approximately 5+ years of legal billing experience with demonstrated expertise in full-cycle billing and electronic billing processes.
• Strong experience with Aderant Expert accounting software; experience with Pre-bill Manager and Expert Image preferred.
• Proven ability to independently manage a portfolio of attorneys, clients, and complex billing arrangements.
• Experience working with e-billing platforms, including invoice submission, LEDES file management, and resolution of billing rejections and reductions.

Responsabilidades

• Manage the full legal billing lifecycle for assigned attorneys and clients, from pre-bill generation and editing through final invoice submission and payment follow-up.
• Administer complex client billing arrangements, including billing rules, rate structures, fee agreements, volume discounts, and e-billing compliance requirements.
• Submit and monitor invoices through multiple e-billing platforms, resolving invoice rejections, reductions, and dispute issues to ensure timely payment.
• Maintain client and matter billing data within Aderant, including rates, timekeeper approvals, billing codes, and electronic billing configurations.
• Partner with attorneys, clients, and collections staff to address outstanding invoices, accrual reporting, special billing requests, and client-specific reporting needs.
• Provide billing process expertise by training attorneys and staff, managing billing documentation, and supporting special projects and process improvements.
