Job summary

Banner Witcoff is seeking a Senior Billing Specialist to own the full billing cycle for assigned attorneys and clients. The role emphasizes electronic billing, accuracy, and collaboration with the accounting team in a hybrid work setting.

Responsibilities include setting billing rules, managing rates, generating pre-bills, posting invoices to e-billing systems, and assisting collections and reporting. Requires experience in legal billing and proficiency with Aderant Expert and Excel.

Qualifications

Experience with legal billing and electronic billing.
Experience with Aderant Expert accounting software strongly preferred.
Experience with Pre-bill Manager and Expert Image preferred.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office with proven Excel skills.
High school diploma required;Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance or related field preferred.

Responsibilities

Manage the billing process start to finish for a portfolio of assigned attorneys and clients.
Set up and maintain client billing rules and codes and timekeeper rates.
Monitor volume discounts based on thresholds reached.
Run paperless pre-bills monthly or on-demand and edit pre-bills as needed.
Post invoices to various e-billing systems and address rejections and reductions.
Assist collections with outstanding and short‑paid invoices.
Prepare client accruals and other reports and assist with special reports.
