Job summary

Jackson Lewis P.C. is seeking a Leave Specialist to ensure compliance with FMLA, ADA, and state laws while delivering high-quality service to firm employees. You will partner with the Leaves Manager, Total Rewards, the Well-Being Director and HR teams to manage notices, documentation and deadlines.

Key duties include processing leave cases, maintaining records, reporting regularly, advising managers on policy interpretation, and escalating complex matters to senior leadership as needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of leave and disability administration experience.
• Experience in a law firm or services industry preferred.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality of health information.
• Knowledge of leave and accommodation regulations including state laws.

Responsibilities

• Process, track and approve all leave cases from notification to return to work with required notices.
• Manage the Leaves and Accommodations group mailbox and assign tasks.
• Maintain accurate records and monitor pending leaves and accommodations.
• Provide timely status updates and reporting to stakeholders.
• Offer guidance on leaves and disability laws to firm employees.
• Escalate complex issues to senior leaders as needed.
• Collaborate with benefits, HRIS and counsel on policy improvements.
• Generate regular reporting for staffing and HR partners.
• Facilitate accommodation discussions and ensure compliant processes.
• Stay current on federal, state and local leave laws.
