Job summary

Jackson Lewis P.C. is seeking a Leave Specialist to ensure compliant handling of leave and accommodation requests under FMLA, ADA, and state/local laws. You will work with Leave Manager, Total Rewards, Well-Being, General Counsel, and HR teams to deliver quality service to firm employees.

The role focuses on processing leaves, maintaining records, guiding employees on policy, and producing timely reporting for staffing decisions. Prior law-firm experience is beneficial.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; SHRM/PHR a plus.
• Minimum 5 years of leave and disability experience.
• Experience with HRIS, especially Workday leaves/timekeeping.

Responsibilities

• Process and track leave cases from notice to return to work.
• Oversee the Leaves & Accommodations group mailbox and tasks.
• Maintain records under firm leave policies and ensure compliance.
• Provide timely updates to stakeholders on leaves and timelines.
• Guide employees on leaves and disability laws with HR guidance.
• Escalate complex cases to Leaves Manager and leadership.
• Collaborate with benefits, HRIS, and talent teams on processes.
• Generate reports to assist HR partners with staffing.
• Support interactive discussions in accommodation process.
• Enhance tracking/reporting of leaves and accommodations.
