Job summary

Jackson Lewis P.C. is seeking a Leave Specialist to ensure compliant leave and accommodation processes under FMLA, ADA, and state/local laws, while delivering excellent service to firm employees.

You will manage case tracking, reporting, and escalations, advising on policy and maintaining strict confidentiality of health information, collaborating with HR and benefits teams to optimize processes.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience administering leave and disability.
• Experience in a law firm or services industry preferred.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Experience with HRIS, especially Workday leave/timekeeping.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality of personal health information.
• Knowledge of leave regulations, including CA leaves.

Responsibilities

• Process and track leave cases from notification through return to work.
• Maintain Leaves and Accommodations mailbox and assign tasks.
• Maintain records under leave policies and monitor pending requests.
• Provide timely status updates and regular reporting on leaves.
• Guide employees on leaves and disability laws and policies.
• Collaborate with HR, benefits and HRIS on processes and improvements.
• Elevate complex or escalated scenarios to Leaves Manager and legal.
