Job summary

joinaegvision is seeking a Sr. Leave Administrator to support Optometrists with all aspects of leave and time-away programs. You will act as the SME for FMLA, ADA, and state/local leaves, ensuring compliance and compassionate guidance throughout the process.

You will manage a caseload end-to-end, coordinate with a third-party administrator, and stay ahead of regulatory changes to protect both employees and the organization in a fast-paced, remote/hybrid environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a related field.
• Minimum 5+ years of leave of absence administration experience across multiple states.
• Deep knowledge of FMLA, ADA and local leave regulations; ability to interpret policy.
• Proven ability to manage confidential information with discretion.

Responsibilities

• Serve as subject matter expert for all leave programs including FMLA, ADA, and local/state leaves.
• Provide empathetic, white-glove service to employees throughout leave processes.
• Maintain proactive communication via phone, video, email with Optometrists and managers.
• Manage caseload from intake through return to work; ensure timely communication and resolution.
• Coordinate with third-party leave administrator to ensure accurate processing.
• Oversee eligibility determinations, notices, medical certifications, and benefits continuation.
• Identify leave-related risks and support process improvements; handle complex cases.
• Monitor regulatory changes and ensure compliance and data integrity.
