Job summary

AEG Vision is seeking a Sr. Leave Administrator to support Optometrists with time away and leave programs, including FMLA, ADA, and state/local paid leaves.

You will manage a caseload from intake to return-to-work, coordinating with third-party leave administrators and ensuring compliant documentation and communication throughout the process.

The role requires strong communication, discretion, and experience with multi-state leave policies, in a remote/hybrid capacity.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in related field or applicable experience.
• 5+ years SME in leave of absence/multi-state paid leave administration with working knowledge of FMLA, ADA, state and federal leave requirements, and company leave policies.
• Mergers and acquisitions experience a plus.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, HRIS, leave-management systems, and virtual communication platforms.

Responsibilities

• Serve as subject matter expert for leave programs including FMLA, ADA-related leave, state and local paid leave, military, parental, and company-sponsored leaves.
• Provide high-touch, empathetic service to Optometrists throughout the leave process.
• Maintain proactive communication with Optometrists to keep them informed and supported.
• Independently manage a caseload of leave and accommodation requests from intake to return to work.
• Partner with third-party leave administrator to ensure accurate administration and act as internal resource for employees and managers.
• Coordinate eligibility determinations, notices, medical certifications, extensions, benefit continuation, return-to-work planning, and case closure.
• Identify leave-related risks and support process improvements and complex cases.
• Monitor regulatory changes and maintain accurate leave tracking, reporting, and audits.
• Perform additional duties, reporting, audits, and projects as assigned.
