Job summary

Walgreens in the United States is seeking a Lease Administration Specialist to provide expert-level guidance, mentorship, and training to internal teams and to our third-party Service Provider. Evaluating landlord compliance, managing, maintaining, and auditing lease related expenses (e.g.

Fixed Rent Payments, OPEX Reimbursements, Percentage Rent Reporting, Lease Abstraction, etc.). Ensuring timely and accurate Implementation of new leases and modifications.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent with experience in accounting, finance, business management or auditing.
• Strong verbal and written communication to diverse audiences.
• Ability to analyze data and identify issues, trends, or deviations.
• Excellent time management with multiple projects and deadlines.
• Customer service experience for internal and external customers.
• Willing to travel up to 10% of the time for business purposes.

Responsibilities

• Approves disbursements for lease-related expenses processed by Service Provider and verifies documentation.
• Analyzes escalated bill payments that cannot be resolved by the Service Provider.
• Verifies bill accuracy and works with landlords and property managers to resolve issues.
• Updates lease databases and interprets lease language for payment obligations.
• Coordinates with Real Estate, Real Estate Law, Construction, Facilities Maintenance, Tax, and Accounting.
• Audits initial lease setup and approves rent payments; ensures timely reporting and payments.
• Manages lease date changes, modifications, extensions, and terminations with the Service Provider.
• Drives process improvements in Real Estate management and supports special projects.
