Job summary

Databricks seeks a Senior member of the Learning Platforms team to shape the technical direction of systems that help employees, partners, and customers build data and AI skills. You will own architecture, guide product strategy, and lead hands-on engineering across multiple platforms.

You will design intelligent, data-driven learning experiences by connecting content, skills, assessments, and business outcomes, while ensuring secure, scalable data pipelines and strong engineering practices

Qualifications

• 5–7 years designing, building, and operating production software or data platforms.
• Experience owning architecture and technical direction for complex, multi-system products.
• Fluency in Python or a similar production language, plus strong SQL and cloud experience.

Responsibilities

• Own the architecture and technical strategy for learning platforms across discovery to production.
• Lead AI-powered capabilities, including recommendations, inference, search, and analytics-driven workflows.
• Build secure, privacy-aware data systems integrating learning, workforce, customer, and operational data.
• Develop Databricks-native apps, data pipelines, APIs, automations, and user experiences.
• Establish engineering practices for reliability, observability, testing, and release management.
• Define integration strategies across LMS, lab environments, content platforms, identity systems.
• Partner with business leaders to define direction, roadmaps, and measurable outcomes.
• Navigate security, privacy, governance, and responsible AI requirements.
• Mentor engineers and contribute to hiring; create reusable patterns for the org.
