Job summary

Abbott’s Madison, WI office seeks a Senior Learning Experience Design Specialist to craft engaging, learner-centered content. You will apply adult learning theory, curate and develop materials, and collaborate with SMEs and design teams to deliver effective training through LMS and mobile learning platforms.

You will stay current with e-learning trends, support accessibility, and drive continuous improvement in learning solutions across the organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Instructional Design, Education, IT, HR, or related field; or High School Diploma with 4+ years of experience.
• 5+ years of experience in instructional design and multimedia content creation.
• Advanced understanding of adult learning theory and modern learner needs.
• Experience with LMS/LXP platforms and mobile learning.
• Experience with instructor-led training or facilitation.

Responsibilities

• Partner with SMEs and stakeholders to design and implement practical learning experiences aligned to business objectives.
• Create multimedia-based content for learners using multiple delivery systems and modalities.
• Evaluate and revise content to meet learning objectives and accessibility needs (ADA).
• Apply UX and instructional design principles to enhance learning experiences.
• Plan and execute learning projects and integrate learning technologies into programs.
• Source and evaluate resources to create effective learning experiences.
