Job summary

Brownells, Inc. in Grinnell, IA is seeking a Senior Engagement & Development Specialist to design and lead learning and leadership development programs with a strong HR foundation. The role partners with our Chief HR Officer to strengthen engagement and measure program impact.

You will build structured learning programs, coordinate LMS activities, and analyze HR data to drive improvements, while ensuring effective internal communications and alignment with our mission and values.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of relevant professional experience in Learning & Development
• Current SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR certification
• Hands-on experience using learning management systems (LMS) to administer training, track completion, and maintain learning records
• Experience managing employee engagement programs or initiatives
• Strong facilitation, presentation, and written communication skills
• Strong analytical skills and comfort working with HR data, Excel, reporting, and program metrics

Responsibilities

• Identify skill gaps and partner with leaders to develop structured employee and leadership training programs, systems, and processes
• Develop engaging training programs and resources, including coordinating and facilitating new hire orientations
• Coordinate training schedules, logistics, and records while using LMS to administer, track, and report on training
• Lead initiatives that promote connection, recognition, and a positive employee experience, including quarterly employee pulse surveys
• Analyze HR data, engagement surveys, and training results to identify trends, recommend improvements, and evaluate program effectiveness
• Develop internal communications and coordinate employee initiatives that reinforce our mission and values
