Job summary

APG Federal Credit Union in Edgewood, Maryland is seeking a Senior Learning Specialist to strengthen organizational capability by identifying learning needs and designing practical development solutions across delivery formats.

You will partner with leaders to translate business priorities into effective curricula, manage LMS, and measure impact, with a hybrid schedule including regular onsite Wednesdays.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in HR, Communications, Business Administration, Education, or related field.
• Four to six years of training, learning and development, organizational development, or related experience, preferably in a financial institution or regulated environment.
• Three years experience designing curricula, facilitator materials, job aids, assessments, and digital learning using adult learning principles and instructional design methods.
• Strong written, verbal, presentation, and facilitation skills, with the ability to explain technical and soft skill/behavioral content clearly to diverse audiences.
• Experience with LMS administration and learning technologies preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design and Develop Learning Solutions using instructional design and adult learning principles, across instructor-led, self-guided, virtual, and digital formats.
• Facilitate engaging development experiences for employees at all levels in various modalities.
• Consult on learning needs and performance gaps with leadership and stakeholders to drive outcomes.
• Evaluate learning impact, analyze feedback and data to improve programs and measure outcomes.
• Support organizational initiatives by translating change into learning, communication, and performance support strategies.
• Build partnerships with internal teams and stay current on products, services, and regulatory training expectations.
• Maintain learning operations and records including LMS administration and reporting.
• Perform additional duties and special projects as needed.
