Job summary

BrainPOP seeks a Senior Learning Designer to drive learning design work from brief to launch, translating strategy into design frameworks and scalable AI-assisted workflows. You’ll model craft, upskill teammates, and partner with product across initiatives.

Based in NY, NY or remote in the US (Eastern time preferred), you’ll lead assessment design, item writing, and standards-aligned content while collaborating with PMs and editors to deliver high-quality digital learning experiences.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; Master's preferred in Education, Instructional Design, or Curriculum & Instruction.
• 7+ years designing K-8 curriculum and learning experiences for edtech.
• Experience with multilingual learners (MLL) and standards fluency across K-8 subjects.
• Proven initiative leadership and ability to guide design decisions.
• Experience with AI content pipelines and rubric design for AI-generated content.

Responsibilities

• Own and lead learning design within assigned initiatives from brief to launch.
• Write assessment items and set quality and distractor logic standards.
• Provide feedback and upskill team members; build shared design resources.
• Partner on AI content workflows, prompts, and evaluation rubrics.
• Represent learning design in product discovery and cross-functional squads.
