Job summary

Georgia Department of Human Services (DHS) seeks a Training & Development Specialist 3 to design, deliver, and evaluate leadership training for managers and staff across Georgia. The Senior Trainer Specialist will create curriculum, coordinate classrooms and virtual sessions, and continuously improve learning resources to align with the agency mission.

Travel statewide (approx. 25%-35%), conduct training programs, and mentor instructors while using ADDIE and evaluation models to ensure quality

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED with 3 years of educational/training or instructional experience.
Preference for a bachelor’s degree in technology, business, education or a related field with training experience.
Experience with adult learning theory and instructional design; LMS experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

Delivers and assesses leadership training to develop new and emerging leaders.
Collaborates with stakeholders to design course content and curriculum.
Provides training and coaching for managers and employees.
Presents on distance learning, technology, and course design at meetings as needed.
Develops and updates curriculum, guides, and materials; tracks participation and ROI.
