Job summary

• Serve as a project lead on assigned training or development projects.
• Maintain training documentation and ensure information remains current.
• Perform other professional duties as assigned.

Job Description: The Training & Development Specialist 3 is responsible for assessing, planning, developing, coordinating, and delivering training for an agency. The position handles the full learning and development process and evaluates whether training achieves the intended functional or technical outcomes.

Typical responsibilities include:

• Assessing employee and organizational training needs.
• Developing and delivering instructor-led and other training programs.
• Creating training materials, presentations, course content, testing materials, and instructional resources.
• Coordinating training sessions and learning activities.
• Conducting research to develop appropriate training programs.
• Updating existing training materials, policies, procedures, and course content.

Minimum Qualification: High school diploma or GED and three years of experience providing educational, training, or instructional services in the functional area. A bachelor’s degree in a related area is often listed as a preferred qualification, along with strong written and verbal communication skills, presentation skills, Microsoft Office proficiency, curriculum development, and experience conducting training.
