Job summary

Oberlin College seeks an Associate Director of Clinical Operations for Student Health to lead clinical administration, daily operations, and advanced patient care. This role ensures services align with best practice, ethics, and regulatory standards while fostering a welcoming, student-centered environment.

Qualifications

• Master’s or Doctoral degree in Nursing (MSN, DNP, or equivalent advanced practice degree).
• Current APRN license in good standing in the State of Ohio.
• National Board Certification in an APRN specialty (e.g., FNP, ANP, WHNP).
• Prescriptive Authority: Ohio Certificate to Prescribe (CTP) and DEA licensure (or eligibility).
• BLS/CPR certification required; ACLS and/or public health or case management certifications preferred.
• 2–5 years of advanced clinical practice experience; college health, primary care, or community health strongly preferred.
• Skills: Advanced clinical judgment, diagnostic reasoning, leadership, and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Director with operational workflows and logistics of Student Health Services.
• Oversee Medicat user management and data management, incl. E-Prescribing and online scheduling.
• Serve as a consultant to faculty, staff, students, and parents.
• Develop policies and procedures in alignment with accreditation and regulations.
• Set departmental goals and strategic plans for services.
• Coordinate crisis/liaison services and post-incident care.
• Maintain inventory and storage of clinical supplies, meds, vaccines.
• Support public health surveillance and outbreak response.
• Engage in quality improvement and FERPA/HIPAA compliance.
