Job summary

HDR, Inc. is seeking a Senior Project Manager (Power Transmission Routing & Siting) to lead buildable routing solutions for electric transmission projects.

You will work with utility staff, developers, and consultants to address regulatory requirements and stakeholder needs across multiple projects. The ideal candidate has extensive experience in routing/siting, expert witness testimony, and managing complex environmental and power delivery initiatives, with a strong focus on timely,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in related field required.
• Minimum 10 years related experience on linear projects involving land acquisition, routing or environmental planning.
• Minimum 8 years experience writing proposals, developing scopes of work, budget, and schedules for complex environmental projects.
• Experience preparing applications for submittal to state utility regulatory agencies and system operators.
• Experience preparing and providing expert witness testimony.

Responsibilities

• Develop buildable routing and siting solutions for electric transmission projects.
• Lead project teams including utility and developer staff and consultants.
• Engage with government agencies, regulators, communities and landowners.
• Prepare testimony and technical documentation for defensible line routes and site selection.
• Manage project scope, schedule, and budget.
• Develop newer staff to deliver client work.
• Build relationships with HDR and utility staff.
• Engage in strategic thinking, client relations and lead development.
• Travel 10–20%.
• Perform other duties as needed.
