Job summary

HDR, Inc. is seeking a Senior Project Manager (Power Transmission Routing & Siting) in California to lead routing and siting efforts for electric transmission projects. You will coordinate with utility staff, developers, and consultants and develop defensible route studies and site plans.

Ideal candidates bring prior leadership experience on large, complex projects, strong regulatory understanding, and ability to mentor newer staff. HDR offers employee ownership and broad project exposure.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in related field is required.
Minimum 5 years of project management experience is expected.
Experience with Microsoft Office, estimating and scheduling software is preferred.
Excellent organizational & communication skills and ability to interact with design teams are essential.
Active participant in an employee-owned culture is a must.

Responsibilities

Develop buildable routing and siting solutions for electric transmission projects.
Collaborate with utility staff, developers, and consultants.
Engage with government agencies, regulators, communities and landowners.
Prepare testimony and technical documentation for route and site selection.
Manage project scope, schedule, and budget and mentor junior staff.
Build relationships with HDR and client staff; support business development.
