Job summary

Lumen is seeking a Senior Lead Technical Program Manager for the Network Architecture and Engineering team. You will lead cross-functional, high-impact programs to strengthen network security, modernize infrastructure, and drive engineering excellence at scale.

This remote role is open to candidates across the U.S. and requires translating complex challenges into executable programs with strategic visibility and measurable outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
• 10+ years of progressively responsible program management experience supporting complex technical, network, engineering, infrastructure, or transformation initiatives.
• Broad understanding of telecommunications networks, including hardware, software, lifecycle management, and operations.
• Experience translating ambiguous objectives into executable plans, coordinated workstreams, governance, and measurable outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Lead complex, high-impact network programs from definition to handoff.
• Create integrated execution frameworks when scope is not fully defined.
• Orchestrate multiple programs with dependencies and senior leadership visibility.
• Establish governance, decision rights, operating rhythms, and executive review processes.
• Drive cross-domain sequencing and readiness across architecture, design, build, lab, test, and deployment.
• Identify constraints and dependencies at portfolio level.
• Anticipate risks before delivery failures.
• Mentor project and program managers; improve governance and delivery discipline.
• Champion scalable AI-enabled and automated workflows for portfolio governance.
