Job summary

Lockheed Martin is seeking an experienced Lead Systems Engineer to head a multidisciplinary SE team for the Common SSP within the Radars & Electronic Systems line. The LSE drives SE deliverables, ensures requirements integrity, and champions process discipline across PDTs. On-site in Liverpool, NY, with DoD clearance required.

The role emphasizes leadership, architecture guidance, and collaboration with SEIT, test teams, and stakeholders to deliver robust system solutions and compliant artifacts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum 15 years of progressive Systems Engineering experience, with at least 3 years in a lead or supervisory role.
• Proficiency with DOORS, Jira, and model-based systems engineering tools; solid understanding of requirements management, verification/validation, and configuration management.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. DoD Security Clearance

Responsibilities

• Architectural artifacts supporting SSP updates; provide technical leadership.
• Enforce uniform SE process across PDTs with high-quality deliverables.
• Maintain RVTM and stable technical requirements baseline.
• Lead development of designs, models, PV applications, IDL, and ADD artifacts.
• Mentor SE staff and support Deputy LSE.
• Review and approve technical documentation for SE standards.
• Coordinate with SEIT, test teams, and stakeholders to align dependencies.
• Work with tests to ensure SRS requirements are tested and test plans exist.
• Ensure DOORS data integrity and complete records.
• Track status of requirements, test plans, and verifications.
• Contribute to proposals and proposal reviews as needed.
