Job summary

JPMorganChase is seeking a Senior Lead Software Engineer to own critical parts of the pre-trade to P&L workflow within the Securitized Product Group Technology. You will lead hands-on development, drive architectural choices, and collaborate across Trading, Risk, and Technology teams to deliver scalable, secure systems.

The role emphasizes AI-assisted development, strong coding discipline, and a track record of delivering complex financial software in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts with 5+ years of applied experience in Java and Spring-based stacks.
• Experience with messaging hubs such as Kafka, IBM MQ, Tibco, or AMPS in real-time trading environments.
• Demonstrated experience influencing across matrixed organizations and delivering value at scale.
• Experience supporting system design, testing, and operational stability.

Responsibilities

• Hands-on development, support, bug fixes, and users’ management.
• Design and develop trading tools across pre-trade, trade capture and pricing domains.
• Analyze legacy systems and propose improvements and innovations.
• Develop metrics and KPIs to measure transformation initiatives and report progress.
• Lead the design and deployment of new systems, partnering with SPG Trading, Risk and P&L teams.
• Promote AI-assisted engineering practices with secure coding, automated testing, and code reviews.
