Job summary

JPMorganChase in New York seeks a Sr Lead Software Engineer within Credit Technology to drive AI-enabled platform modernization and scalable, secure software delivery. You will lead hands-on design, build, and review of production code, while mentoring teams across the SDLC.

You will partner with Credit Sales and Trading to translate business strategy into robust technical solutions, promoting responsible AI practices and strong operational stability within a fast-paced financial environment.

Qualifications

• Formal training or certification in software engineering; 5+ years of applied experience.
• 5+ years hands-on design, development, testing, and operations using Python and Java.
• Hands-on experience with AI components and their use in modern stacks.
• Foundational knowledge of cloud services (AWS) with cloud-native experience.
• Experience leading AI-assisted development tools and setting team expectations for AI outputs.
• Understanding responsible AI use, data sensitivity, secure handling, resiliency and security.
• Proficiency in automation and continuous delivery; SDLC mastery.
• Advanced agile skills incl. CI/CD, resiliency, and security.
• Interest in financial markets and trading; collaborate with Credit Sales/Trading teams.
• Strong communication and passion for AI-driven engineering.

Responsibilities

• Automate recurring remediation to improve stability and KPIs.
• Work with L1 support to ensure reliability and fast issue resolution.
• Lead vendor evaluations for architectural viability.
• Lead communities of practice to adopt new technologies.
• Foster diversity, inclusion, and respect within the team.
