Job summary

JPMorganChase in Jersey City seeks a Senior Lead Software Engineer to shape architecture and drive delivery of cloud-native platforms across product intake, communication, and knowledge sharing. You will mentor engineers, set technical direction, and ensure secure, scalable solutions across the SDLC.

You will work on a portfolio including features for authoring, emails, RSS, and developer blogs, leveraging Java, JavaScript/TypeScript, Python, and modern APIs in a fast-paced agile environment.

Qualifications

• Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5+ years applied experience.
• Proven expertise in distributed system design, application architecture, and technical leadership.
• Demonstrated experience with AI-assisted software development tools and ensuring correctness, performance, and security.

Responsibilities

• Own platform-level architecture and technical strategy across one or more platforms ensuring secure, scalable, and resilient solutions across the SDLC.
• Lead complex technical initiatives from discovery and design through delivery and operations, establishing engineering standards and reusable patterns.
• Design and implement complex cloud-native software with integrations including Jira Align, Bitbucket/GitHub, and event-driven workflows.
• Architect and build backend services, GraphQL APIs, and modern React UIs with micro-frontends and Hugo pipelines.
• Own content and discovery capabilities with full-text search and content authoring pipelines.
• Write secure, high-quality code across Java, JavaScript/TypeScript, Python, and Go while promoting best practices.
• Mentor engineers and partners with Product Owners to translate business goals into measurable outcomes.
• Set and enforce security, performance, availability, observability standards and CI/CD gates.
