Job summary

Chase is seeking a senior software engineer to drive design, development, and AI-assisted engineering practices. You will contribute to secure production code, architect complex systems, and mentor teams in scalable microservices using Java, Spring, RESTful APIs, Kafka, and Postgres.

Cloud and container-based development with AWS/Kubernetes is expected. You will shape architecture, improve code quality, and promote secure coding standards across delivery teams while collaborating with Enterprise

Qualifications

• Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5+ years applied experience.
• 8+ years of software development experience.
• Experience leading the use of AI-assisted software development tools with validation for correctness, performance, and security.
• Strong understanding of responsible AI use in engineering workflows and secure practices.
• Solid CS fundamentals: algorithms and data structures.
• Experience with Java, Spring, RESTful APIs, Kafka, Postgres SQL, and microservices.
• CI/CD experience and use of Git/Bitbucket.

Responsibilities

• Executes software solutions, design, development, and troubleshooting with non-routine problem solving.
• Drives adoption of AI-assisted engineering practices to improve code quality, speed, and outcomes.
• Applies SDLC tools to improve automation value and reliability.
• Creates secure production code and maintains algorithms with system compatibility.
• Produces architecture and design artifacts ensuring constraints are met by code.
• Identifies data patterns to drive improvements in coding hygiene and architecture.
• Contributes to communities of practice exploring new technologies.
