Job summary

Chase is seeking a Lead Software Engineer within the Consumer & Community Banking Deposits Technology team. You will be an integral part of an agile team that builds, enhances, and delivers trusted, scalable technology products in a secure environment.

As a senior hands-on contributor, you will code in Java (and Python), drive modernization, automation, and AI-assisted engineering practices, and guide peers through reviews while aligning with release readiness and security standards.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of software engineering experience with Java and Python.
• Ability to design, code, debug and resolve complex problems independently.
• Experience leading AI-assisted software development tools and secure coding practices.

Responsibilities

• Develops in Java with some Python, solving complex issues across apps and platforms.
• Drive adoption of enterprise AI-assisted engineering practices and secure coding standards.
• Lead design, development and modernization to improve reliability and scalability.
• Mentor engineers, conduct code reviews, and advocate strong engineering practices.
• Promote release readiness, quality gates, and observability across cloud-native platforms.
