Job summary

JPMorgan Chase & Co. in the United States seeks a Senior Lead Software Engineer in its CTO to drive a greenfield effort focused on software dependency risk, with emphasis on secure, scalable platforms and AI-assisted development.

You will own end-to-end design, build data ingestion pipelines and dependency analysis services on AWS, mentor teams, and collaborate with product managers and designers to deliver production-ready outcomes.

Qualifications

• 5+ years applied experience in software engineering
• Hands-on experience delivering data-intensive system design, application development, testing, and operational stability
• Advanced in Java
• Experience building core platform capabilities — data ingestion pipelines, dependency analysis services, and developer-facing features
• Demonstrated experience leading enterprise AI-assisted software development tools and set team expectations for AI outputs
• Strong understanding of responsible AI use in engineering workflows and secure handling of data
• Ability to tackle design and functionality problems independently
• Practical cloud native experience - AWS (Lambda, S3, RDS, or similar services)

Responsibilities

• Take ownership end-to-end — from design through deployment and production support
• Build and scale core platform capabilities: data ingestion pipelines, dependency analysis services, and developer-facing product features
• Regularly provide technical guidance to support the business and its teams, contractors, and vendors
• Write production-quality Java on AWS — services, APIs, data pipelines, and the infrastructure that ties them together
• Use AI-assisted development tools to develop secure production code and perform reviews and debugging
• Drive adoption and governance of AI-assisted engineering practices across teams with measurable standards
• Collaborate with engineers, product managers, and designers to ship features relied upon by real engineering teams
