Job summary

JPMorganChase is seeking a Senior Lead Software Engineer to own end-to-end development of trusted market-leading technology products within the CTO. You will build scalable data ingestion pipelines, dependency analysis services, and developer-facing features on AWS using Java, while applying AI-assisted development tools to ensure secure, high-quality production code.

You will collaborate with engineers, product managers, and designers across US/UK, guiding teams, driving governance for AI

Qualifications

Formal software engineering training and 5+ years of relevant experience.
Experience delivering data-intensive systems and ensuring operational stability.
Proficiency in Java and cloud-native AWS services.
Experience guiding enterprise AI-assisted development practices with governance.
Knowledge of secure coding and risk-aware engineering.

Responsibilities

Take ownership end-to-end—from design through deployment and production support.
Build and scale core platform capabilities: data ingestion pipelines, dependency analysis services, and developer-facing features.
Provide technical guidance to the business and its teams, contractors, and vendors.
Write production-quality Java on AWS—services, APIs, data pipelines, and related infrastructure.
Use AI-assisted development tools to produce secure, high-quality production code with reviews and debugging.
Drives adoption and governance of approved AI-assisted engineering practices across teams to improve code quality, delivery speed, and operational outcomes.
Collaborate with engineers, product managers, and designers to ship features that engineering teams rely on.
