Job summary

JPMorganChase is seeking a Senior Lead Software Engineer to guide an agile team focused on workflow automation, AI/ML platforms, and cloud-native solutions across AWS, Azure, and GCP. The role emphasizes secure, production-grade code, scalable architecture, and governance-driven AI practices.

You will drive multi-team adoption of enterprise tools, shape SDLC automation, and influence technology choices while mentoring engineers and stakeholders in responsible AI and secure design principles.

Qualifications

• Formal software engineering training or certification with 10+ years' experience
• Hands-on design, development, testing, and ops stability for production AI/ML solutions
• Advanced proficiency in Python
• Advanced knowledge of AI/ML frameworks and tooling and their cloud deployment
• Deep expertise in AWS cloud services (Step Functions, Lambda, ECS/EKS, SageMaker, Bedrock, Glue, EventBridge, IAM)
• Proficiency in Terraform for IaC, module development, state management and multi-environment deployment
• Experience with GitHub Copilot and AI-assisted development workflows; governance and scale
• Ability to tackle complex design with minimal oversight
• Cloud-native experience focusing on security, scalability, resilience, and cost in AWS
• Experience leading multi-team AI-assisted development with governance and guardrails
• Strong understanding of responsible AI use in engineering workflows; coach leadership

Responsibilities

• Provide architectural direction and guidance on workflow automation, AI/ML platforms, and cloud-native solutions on AWS, Azure, and GCP
• Design and implement end-to-end workflow automation and AI/ML pipelines from architecture to production
• Develop secure production code; review and optimize code using AI-assisted tools like Copilot
• Drive architectural decisions and IaC standards (Terraform) across AWS environments
• Serve as SME in AWS cloud architecture, MLOps, orchestration, and automation
• Define and enforce CI/CD, IaC, model lifecycle, and automated testing practices in SDLC
• Promote firmwide frameworks and best practices (Well-Architected, Terraform, governance)
• Influence adoption of leading-edge technologies (LLMs, agentic AI, AWS services)
• Establish operating practices for enterprise AI-assisted development and SDLC/TLM automation
• Leverage SDLC toolchain to improve efficiency and promote reuse of existing assets
