Job summary

CGS seeks a Senior Lead Network Engineer to lead a large-scale wired/wireless network project for state/local government. You will design, implement, test, and secure infrastructure, coordinate with stakeholders and vendors, and mentor staff.

Experience with RF, wireless health, network security, and disaster recovery is essential. The role includes daily on-site operations and cross-team collaboration within the IT department.

Responsibilities

• Operate and manage NPS network infrastructure.
• Improve infrastructure monitoring and reporting with network management software.
• Develop, maintain and deliver network infrastructure documentation within NPS.
• Review best practices and provide architecture/design/management recommendations.
• Administer Cloudpath onboarding, monitor wireless health, apply security patches (0800–1700 PST, Mon–Fri).
• Assess NPS network and recommend improvements.
• Define and conduct testing procedures for new infrastructure projects.
• Implement solutions within NPS network environment.
• Provide design guidance on network solutions in NPS projects.
• Provide informal training and knowledge transfer to NPS staff.
