Job summary

Join Sargent & Lundy's Nuclear Power Group in a hybrid role requiring in-office work three days per week. You will contribute to design, analysis, and modification packages for nuclear power plant systems, interfacing with clients and leading project teams.

We seek engineers with a strong background in nuclear industry codes and standards, ABET-accredited degrees, and 10+ years of relevant experience. PE is beneficial but not required, with a competitive benefits package.

Qualifications

• BS or MS in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Nuclear Engineering, Systems Engineering, or General Engineering from an ABET accredited program.
• 10+ years of experience in the nuclear power industry.
• Working knowledge of codes, standards, and regulations that apply to mechanical engineering design of nuclear power plants.
• PE license is beneficial, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Modify packages for operating nuclear power plants.
• Prepare or review functional mechanical drawings for nuclear power plant systems.
• Perform engineering analyses and evaluations for modifications and plant operation.
• Prepare technical specifications and procurement documents for plant equipment.
• Evaluate vendor bids for plant equipment.
• Study modifications and evaluate options for operating plants.
