Job summary

JPMorgan Chase & Co. is seeking a Senior Lead Software Engineer within the Consumer and Community Banking Connected Commerce team to help deliver trusted, scalable technology products in a secure environment.

You will lead an agile squad, write high-quality production code in Java 21 with Spring Boot, design data pipelines with Kafka, and collaborate across cloud services on AWS to drive business impact.

Qualifications

• Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts and 5+ years of applied experience.
• Experience leading technologists to solve complex technical items within your domain of expertise with development experience in Java 21 and RESTful backend applications using Spring Boot.
• Experience in designing, building and maintaining high-throughput, low-latency data pipelines using Apache Kafka, KSQL and Kafka Streams.
• Proficiency in SQL and NoSQL databases such as Oracle, Postgres, Cassandra, etc.
• Experience in designing, building, and maintaining API services, with knowledge of Microservices with Domain Driven Design patterns.
• Experience working with Terraform to provision AWS cloud services.
• Experience with AWS EKS, EC2, ECS, EventBridge, Lambda, Route53, and S3.
• Advanced knowledge of software applications and technical processes in one or more technical disciplines (cloud, AI, ML, mobile).
• Ability to tackle design and functionality problems independently with little to no oversight.
• Practical cloud native experience.
• Experience in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Mathematics, or a related technical field.
