Job summary

Blue Origin in Florida seeks a senior leader to own the design, build, and activation of test facilities and production fluid systems across Orbital Launch Site and Rocket Park. You will guide a multidisciplinary team of engineers and project managers, delivering safe, reliable infrastructure for multiple business units.

You will oversee high‑pressure and cryogenic systems, champion HAZOP/PHA processes, and mentor staff while partnering with DSCE, CAD, Facilities, Safety, and Quality to meet

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or related discipline.
• 10+ years in mechanical, fluids, or test-systems engineering with 3+ years in people leadership.
• Experience leading fluid system development from design through activation.
• Technical competency in high-pressure gas and cryogenic fluid systems (LOX, LH2, LNG, LN2).
• Experience leading HAZOP and PHA processes and integrating safety analysis into design.
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects with distinct schedules and budgets.
• Strong written and verbal communication; ability to brief senior leadership.
• U.S. citizen or eligible to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Own test infrastructure and production environment projects from requirements through activation.
• Lead multidisciplinary team of mechanical/fluids engineers and project managers.
• Drive multiple concurrent test stand and production fluid system projects with schedules and budgets.
• Collaborate with DSCE, CAD, Facilities, Safety, Quality, and Supply Chain to deliver integrated systems.
• Make technical and programmatic decisions for high‑pressure and cryogenic fluid systems.
• Lead HAZOP and safety analyses integrated into design and operations.
• Identify and mitigate risks across multiple business unit customers.
• Set team goals and report project status to senior leadership.
• Develop and mentor engineers; foster performance and growth.
• Promote engineering best practices across test stands and fluid systems.
