Job summary
Eversource Energy is seeking a seasoned distribution planning engineer to lead and execute projects across distribution substation facilities, lines and underground networks. You will develop 2–5 year and 5+ year plans, build models, run power system simulations (load-flow, transient), collaborate with engineering, asset management and regulatory teams, and prepare documentation and testimony for filings.

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Electric Power Systems preferred.
- Minimum five years of related experience in distribution planning.
- Registered Professional Engineer desirable.
Responsibilities
- Lead distribution planning studies and recommend solutions.
- Develop 2–5 year and 5+ year distribution plans.
- Build and validate electrical distribution models.
- Collaborate with cross-functional groups for long-range planning.
- Prepare contingency studies (N-1, N-2) for distribution networks.
- Prepare regulatory filings and testimony as needed.
- Present recommendations to management.
