Job summary

Salesforce is seeking a Lead System Specialist to drive the delivery of a next-generation email platform built on Data Cloud, with global subscriber preferences and compliance enforcement. You’ll own operations, scale, and optimization of messaging data infrastructure across multiple teams.

You will influence product strategy while focusing on running and improving platform reliability, data pipelines, and stakeholder alignment across legal, data, and marketing functions.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in platform operations or technical program management for data infra.
• Experience in enterprise marketing tech, high-volume messaging, or data platforms.
• Experience owning end-to-end support ops for a shared internal platform.

Responsibilities

• Drive the operational roadmap for interdependent platform systems, ensuring high availability and performance.
• Lead data modeling and identity resolution, translating architecture into scalable workflows.
• Ensure system stability and compliance across global configurations and teams.
• Own incident response and escalation for platform reliability events under time pressure.
• Operationalize legal/compliance requirements into automated enforcement cycles.
• Manage and evolve Salesforce’s preference center and data extracts pipelines.
• Partner with analytics and engineering to maintain and evolve data pipelines and reporting.
• Own global suppression strategy and onboarding standards for new BUs.
• Define escalation paths and self-serve docs for Data Cloud and email platform questions.
• Represent platform roadmap to senior leadership with clear strategic narratives.
