Job summary

Sargent & Lundy seeks a lead electrical engineer to manage an electrical engineering team on projects ranging from retrofits to new generation installations. You will supervise engineers and drive power distribution design, equipment specifications, and calculations.

Hybrid work in Clayton, MO with in-office 3 days/week; PE license and a BSEE are required, with 15+ years in power plant/industrial design. Mentoring, client liaison, and reviews are core parts of the role.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited BSEE is required; emphasis in power systems preferred.
• PE license is required.
• 15+ years in power plant or industrial plant design, with detailed systems focus.
• Experience leading a team of electrical engineers.

Responsibilities

• Manage and direct electrical engineers on project teams.
• Lead design, modification, and analysis of electrical systems.
• Coordinate power distribution design and equipment specifications.
• Review calculations, drawings, and vendor docs.
• Mentor junior engineers and support career development.
• Interface with clients and vendors for design reviews and BOMs.
