Job summary

Sargent & Lundy seeks a senior electrical engineer to lead a team on projects spanning retrofits to new generation installations. The role involves directing electrical design, coordinating power distribution, and preparing specifications and calculations.

You will mentor engineers, liaise with clients, and ensure designs meet codes and client requirements. Hybrid work with in-office presence three days per week is offered, with a comprehensive benefits package and professional development

Qualifications

• A BSEE degree from an ABET-accredited program; emphasis in power systems preferred.
• PE license required.
• Experience managing a team of electrical engineers.
• 15+ years in power plant or industrial plant design.
• Experience with medium/low voltage distribution, transformers, generators, motors.
• Experience with ETAP and/or SKM calculations.
• Experience liaising with clients as a lead engineer.
• Experience reviewing other engineers’ designs.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise an electrical engineering team in project environments.
• Direct design, modification and analysis of electrical systems for retrofits and new installations.
• Coordinate power distribution design and equipment specifications.
• Assist project manager to meet schedule and budget goals.
• Prepare and review drawings, calculations and design input documents.
• Interface with vendors; develop bills of materials and procurement specs.
• Provide mentoring and peer-learning within the team.
• Travel to client/vendor sites for reviews and field verification.
