Job summary

Cox Automotive is seeking a Senior Lead Cybersecurity Architect to define principles, standards, and design patterns for securing multi-cloud and on-premises environments. You will drive cybersecurity guidelines, collaborate with product and enterprise teams, and lead AI-enabled security governance initiatives across Cox’s technology landscape.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related discipline with 8 years of security or architecture experience.
• At least 4 years focused on cybersecurity.
• Expertise in AWS cloud infrastructure and on-premises systems.
• Ability to articulate policy and design decisions to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Experience with cybersecurity frameworks (ISO 27000, NIST, FFIEC) and regulations (GDPR, GLBA).
• Knowledge of zero trust, IaaS, PaaS, SaaS, virtualization, and containers.
• Experience with Agile methodologies.
• Ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage AI integration governance.

Responsibilities

• Identify and recommend cybersecurity policies, standards, procedures, and guardrails.
• Lead guidance across product and enterprise architecture groups by leading cybersecurity-focused working groups.
• Develop secure design patterns aligned with standards for engineering teams to implement.
• Contribute to governance patterns, policies, and standards beyond cybersecurity.
• Analyze risks and recommend innovative security solutions for information systems.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure scalable release processes.
• Define cybersecurity guardrails with business and engineering teams for secure adoption.
• Participate in security events and incident response to close gaps and prevent repeats.
• Research emerging security trends and technologies and recommend improvements.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to embed security considerations into development and operations.
• Incorporate vulnerability management, governance, risk, and compliance into standards.
