Job summary

JPMorgan Chase & Co. is seeking a Senior Lead Software Engineer within the Chief Technology Office to shape architecture and drive delivery for cloud-native platforms that enable product intake, communication, and developer knowledge sharing.

You will lead multi-team efforts across a growing portfolio, mentor engineers, and ensure secure, scalable, and reliable solutions. You will set technical direction, collaborate with Product Owners, and drive measurable business outcomes through design

Qualifications

• Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts and 5+ years of applied experience.
• Experience leading cross-team initiatives and setting engineering standards.
• Strong experience with Java, JavaScript/TypeScript, and Python in large enterprise environments.

Responsibilities

• Own platform-level architecture and technical strategy across one or more platforms.
• Lead complex technical initiatives from discovery through delivery and operations.
• Design and implement cloud-native software with integration to Jira Align/Jira Plan, Bitbucket/GitHub, and event-driven workflows.
• Architect and build backend services, GraphQL APIs, and modern React UIs with modular frontends.
• Mentor engineers and collaborate with Product Owners to translate business goals into technical outcomes.
• Enforce non-functional standards (security, performance, observability) and champion secure-by-design patterns.
