Job summary

Klaviyo is seeking a Senior Lead Engineer for the Customer Agent team in Boston to architect, implement, and scale a production-grade agentic system. You will own technical direction, ship critical features, and ensure reliability across a fast-moving AI-native platform.

Based in Boston, this in-office role calls for hands-on leadership, architectural judgment, and the ability to partner with product, design, data science, and GTM teams to shape the roadmap and deliver impactful AI capabilities

Qualifications

Experience architecting, building, scaling, and supporting production agentic systems end to end.
Ability to secure production systems against misuse as usage grows.
Proven track record driving technical and product direction across an entire product area.
Hands-on coding and design reviews with a bias for shipping and reliability.

Responsibilities

Set the technical and product direction for Customer Agent's core platform from architecture through production.
Tackle the platform's hardest problems personally: orchestration, evals, guardrails, memory, and non-deterministic failure handling.
Write and ship code, review designs, and make architecture decisions when others cannot.
Build reusable architecture and frameworks and mentor through design reviews across teams.
