Job summary

JPMorgan Chase in Chicago seeks a Senior Associate for the Letter of Credit (LC) Product Advisory within Commercial & Specialized Industries. You will support VPs, partner with Commercial bankers, and interact with clients to drive LC delivery end-to-end.

This role focuses on structuring LC transactions, coordinating with credit, legal, and risk partners, and ensuring timely, high-quality client service across the SBLC offering.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in Commercial banking, sales, or operations with Trade Finance / LC experience.
• Proven ability to build and develop relationships with clients and internal teams.
• Strong verbal and written communications with ability to engage C-suite and operations teams.
• Well organized with ability to meet tight timelines on complex deliverables.
• Experience reviewing, understanding, and working with credit partners.
• Knowledge of Foreign Bank Guarantees.
• Experience working with front office Commercial Banking.

Responsibilities

• Support VPs in managing a client portfolio and build strong client relationships.
• Advise on LC structuring and setup for Commercial Bank US clients.
• Set expectations on product delivery timelines, requirements, and dependencies.
• Coordinate LC end-to-end execution, removing roadblocks.
• Provide client guidance and timely status updates throughout the LC process.
• Act as trusted advisor for LC questions and issues across portfolio.
• Prepare client-facing materials outlining the LC offering.
• Report new opportunities and key deal metrics for data capture.
• Analyze LC portfolio by industry/geography to identify pricing and trends.
• Coordinate cross-regionally with Banking, Trade Finance, Credit, Legal and other partners.
