Job summary

Amgen is seeking a scientist to join the Pharmacokinetics & Drug Metabolism – Bioanalytical Sciences (PKDM-BA) group to advance Amgen’s growing research portfolio. The successful candidate will develop and apply innovative, fit-for-purpose LC-MS-based bioanalytical assays for characterization of endogenous proteins, including distinct proteoforms and target-drug complexes.

Qualifications

PhD or equivalent with strong LC-MS training and bioanalytical experience.
Experience in LC-MS method development and quantitative bioanalysis in complex matrices.
Ability to troubleshoot analytical methods and data quality issues with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

Develop, optimize, and perform LC-MS assays to measure target proteins and biomarkers.
Design bioanalytical strategies to understand drug-target interactions and biomarker kinetics.
Apply MS-based workflows to plasma, tissue, and in vitro systems.
Develop sample preparation and LC-MS workflows balancing sensitivity and turnaround time.
Troubleshoot assay development, sample prep, data quality, and instrument issues.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to interpret data in PK/PD context.
Maintain electronic lab notebooks and communicate results clearly to project teams.
