Job summary

City of Atlanta is seeking an Airport Operations Representative III - Landside to supervise staff, manage daily operations, and coordinate with TSA and other agencies. The role requires strong knowledge of aviation regulations and excellent communication with customers and stakeholders.

Responsibilities include emergency response, shift planning, and reporting. The position entails weekend and holiday shifts and potential recalls during severe weather.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in aviation or related field; 3–5 years airport operations experience.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ability to interact with the public.
• Knowledge of FAA/state/local aviation regulations and incident response.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills for reports and briefings.

Responsibilities

• Supervises and evaluates staff; ensures assignments meet standards and provides development.
• Responds to emergencies and coordinates resolution with executive staff and TSA coordination.
• Plans daily activities and staff schedules; ensures shift coverage.
• Develops recovery plans to return the airport to normal operations.
• Communicates with customers, tenants, staff, and stakeholders professionally.
• Interacts with federal, state, and local agencies regarding procedures and initiatives.
