The Long Beach Airport Department is seeking an Airport Operations Officer (Landside) to coordinate strategic initiatives, manage landside operations, and partner with airlines, tenants, and regulators. Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Aviation Management, Engineering, Operations Research, or a closely related field.
• Seven (7) years of progressively responsible direct operational airport experience, with at least three (3) in a supervisory role.
• Valid California Class C Driver License or ability to obtain within 6 months and pass TSA/FAA background checks.
• Ability to pass TSA/FAA background checks.
• Desirable certifications: AACE/CAA Certified Member or Accredited Airport Executive, Pilot Certification.

Responsibilities

• Oversee Landside Operations Division daily operations and assets, including equipment and resources.
• Respond to calls and inquiries, coordinate with airlines and tenants to resolve issues and enhance operations.
• Allocate resources to fulfill division goals and objectives.
• Represent the Airport at Landside operations meetings and act as liaison.
• Maintain relationships with airport tenants and ensure effective communication.
• Develop and monitor annual and long-term Landside plans and budgets.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and safety standards; assist in integrating future technologies and multimodal opportunities.
