Job summary

Augusta Richmond County in Augusta, Georgia seeks a capable Operations professional to monitor and coordinate airside activities, ensuring compliance with FAA Part 139, TSA 1542, and airport regulations. The role interacts with staff, tenants, contractors, and consultants to maintain safety and efficiency on the airfield.

Responsibilities include inspections, wildlife mitigation, construction coordination, and airfield safety planning. Strong communication and supervisory skills are essential.

Qualifications

Completion of college level work in Aviation Management, Airway Science, or related field.
Two years of progressively responsible experience in airport operations, security, or safety.
Experience may substitute for education year-for-year.
Knowledge of FAA Part 139 and Airport Certification Manual.

Responsibilities

Ensure airport compliance with FAA Part 139 and TSA CFR 1542 regulations.
Conduct daily inspections of runways, taxiways, safety areas, ramp areas, and perimeter fence.
Mitigate wildlife hazards and maintain related records and permits.
Coordinate and monitor construction/maintenance in operational areas for safety and compliance.
Maintain radio contact with ATC and initiate NOTAMs; provide airside escort as needed.
