Job summary

Independence Health System seeks a Laboratory Supervisor to coordinate sections across the health system, supervise staff, and ensure timely, accurate results in compliance with regulations. You will standardize procedures and cross-train staff across locations, while modeling technical excellence.

The role requires a MT/MLS/CLS degree with 4 years of CL experience and 0–2 years of supervisory experience, plus MLS/ASCP eligibility or certification within 15 months.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in MT/CLS and four years of CL laboratory experience.
• 0–2 years supervisory/management experience in a clinical lab setting.
• Strong leadership, organizational, independent and critical thinking, and knowledge of legal liabilities.
• Ability to communicate complex topics to a diverse audience.
• Knowledge of laboratory regulations and practices.
• Healthcare setting experience preferred.
• REGISTRY eligible for MLS (ASCP) or equivalent within 15 months.
