Job summary

Arlington County Government is seeking a Senior Labor Relations Manager to join the County Manager's Office. You will provide senior-level advice to the Chief Labor Relations Officer (CLRO) and leadership on collective bargaining matters, including economic costing and fiscal analysis of proposals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in HR, employment and labor law, public finance or business administration
• Significant professional experience in compensation design and fiscal analysis
• Experience with employee relations and labor relations
• Experience with collective bargaining, preferably in a government environment

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day guidance to managers and supervisors, with CLRO, on interpretation and application of collective agreements and related labor relations issues
• Assist CLRO and County leadership with designing and analyzing compensation and budget scenarios for negotiations
• Lead salary surveys, benchmark labor practices, and develop costing models for negotiations
• Develop economic package alternatives and multi-year cost projections for negotiation proposals
• Coordinate with HRD to ensure negotiated terms are executed, tracked, and audited
