ALDI is seeking a Managing Counsel for Labor & Employment in Aurora, IL, to lead the Labor and Employment team and provide strategic guidance on labor relations, compliance, and risk mitigation. The role partners with HR and operations and reports to senior leadership.

Ideal candidates hold a JD from an ABA-accredited law school, have 7+ years in a legal environment, Illinois licensure, and experience managing employment matters and coordinating with outside counsel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree required.
• J.D. from ABA-accredited law school required.
• Licensed to practice in Illinois (or eligibility).
• 7+ years of progressive experience in a legal environment.
• Experience advising on employment law and labor relations.

Responsabilités

• Provide strategic guidance on labor and employment matters.
• Lead and supervise the Labor and Employment team.
• Advise executive leadership on risk mitigation and compliance.
• Manage outside counsel on complex matters.
• Collaborate with HR, operations and other business partners.
• Draft legal memoranda, case assessments and policy guidance.
• Oversee labor relations strategy and union-related issues.
